48pp. Charming Sendak illustrations throughout in colour. Red cloth-covered boards with black lettering to spine and outline of small boy printed on lower leading corner (see pictures). Very slightly rubbed at heel of spine. Coloured endpapers. Bright, crisp, clean & bright throughout. Square and tight. Dust jacket very slightly chipped at extreme edges in places and mildly rubbed at head and heel of spine. Small closed tear from upper edge, about 9mm. Scar from previous retailer's price label on rear of dust jacket. Dust jacket now protected in clear mylar cover (which can be removed with damaging the jacket if desired). A really lovely copy of this hard-to-find edition.
