[1924] 1st thus. 124pp, monochrome plate frontispiece plus seven further monochrome plate illustrations and numerous black and white illustrations and decorations in text. Olive green cloth-covered boards with coloured cameo of a bear on front panel. 12mo. Boards lightly rubbed and rounded on edges with some mild marks and indentations. Very slightly cocked with a hint of tanning and spotting to endpapers and text block edges. Inscription on front free endpaper else internally fresh and clean. A lovely copy of this children's classic containg three stories taken from Seton's well-known Lives of the Hunted.
