312pp. 8vo. Colour plate frontispiece three further colour plate illustrations, ten b/w plates and numerous b/w illustrations in text, all by Thomas Heath Robinson. Pictorial beige cloth-covered boards, illustrated on front and spine with gilt titles. Bevelled edges. All edges gilt (still bright). Decorated endpapers. Boards a little scuffed and faded, rubbed around spine joints. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper crossed through. Pages tanning mildly at edges and some show reading wear. One leaf and one plate loose and laid in. Hinge cracked between prelims. Still a handsome copy of this deluxe edition, despite defects.
