Undated but circa 1910. Lovely pocket edition of Scott's Lady of the Lake, bound in yapped grey-green soft suede with gold-stamped art deco illustration on front, top edge gilt, all other edges untrimmed. Coloured endpapers. Matching silk ribbon marker bound in. Tissue-guarded impressed frontispiece and decorated title page. Still in original wax paper wrapper and custom-fitted presentation box (although may not be the correct box as the label on the end of box differs from the title). 12mo. Covers a tad discoloured at edges, previous owner's name on box, which is damaged down one side with small piece of overlay missing, neat inscription on front endpaper. Lovely, lovely copy of this classic poem - would make super gift for poetry lover.
