414pp. 16 colour plate illustrations all by Charles Brock. Neat little volume in green cloth boards, a little rubbed at extremities and lightly marked. Previous owner's inscriptions on front free endpaper (including one which, intriguingly says the volume was purchased from Lady Wheare in 1971 -most likely Lady Joan Wheare, the wife of the Australia academic, Sir Kenneth Wheare). Square and internally clean, crisp and bright. Would make sweet gift for a fan of Charles Brock illustrations.
