Illustrated edition, 4th impression. 50pp. Plentiful and charming illustrations by Peter Scott, both full page plates in colour and vignettes in text, with other decorations, making this a handsome and attractive volume. Earlier editions did not have Scott's wonderful illustrations. Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles and central motif of a Snow Goose (boards a little faded in places, a few small minor marks). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In pictorial dust jacket (lightly chapped at edges in places with minor loss at spine tips).
