Tissue guarded frontis, showing portrait of Mary Russell Mitford. Tissue guard foxed. The real joy of this particular copy of this work is the glorious bookplate on the front endpaper, full of naval motifs, indicating that the book was once part of the collection of Lt Commander H D Capper, himself the author of several books of maritime and naval interest.
