1st edition, 1st impression. 208pp. Green cloth boards with gilt titles (a tad rounded at points). Lending sheet on front endpaper, no other library markings. Slight lean, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original pictorial dust jacket (lightly chapped at edges, spine crease and shelf wear on verso). Mystery novel featuring McCutcheon's recurring character, Anthony Howard: Anthony and his lovely wife Lenore are honeymooning in Paris when Howard manages to prevent an apparent suicide. Hard to find title in its first edition (it was reprinted by the Mystery Book Club a year later, but even these are now uncommon).
