With 32 colour plates and nearly 700 other illustrations. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Contemporary adverts at front and rear (for, for example, Howard's Soda, Chivers Jellies and Marie Elizabeth tinned Sardines). Good, early edition of this perennial favourite - editions from the 1930s and 1940s are more common, so this one has particularly cache.
