Not dated, but early 1950s. 192pp. Blue cloth boards with gilt titles and decoration (worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends). Lending sheet on front free endpaper, no other library markings (slightly tanned). In its original, edge worn and lightly chipped dust jacket. Collectors, please note! This is not a first edition - that was published by Collins in 1946 with a different, brown and yellow, dust jacket. This is a cheaper edition from the same publisher. Not one of Burton's finest detective stories, but still entertaining.
