150pp. Cloth covered boards with gilt decorations. Beautifully decorated endpapers and illustrated throughout. Includes an author's note at rear regarding his uncle's war time experiences. Internally neat, clean bright and tight (one page has a corner crease). In its original dust jacket (tiny scuff on one corner). A lovely largely pristine volume, gift quality. Based on a true story, Peter and Francis were very different and when war comes in 1939, they choose different paths. Peter joins the RAF while Francis remains a committed pacifist, until his brother is killed in action.
