Not dated but c 1940. Reprint. 208pp. Red cloth boards (generally worn, especially at edges, rounded at corners and spine ends, some soiling). Lending sheet on front free endpaper, no other library markings. Old tape repair in front endpaper gutter and title page. Pages well-thumbed, a little spotting. In its original dust jacket r (rubbed at edges, old tape reinforcements, minor loss around corners, portion of backstrip absent, shelf wear). Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. James Hadley Chase was a pen name of Ren� Lodge Brabazon Raymond.
