First edition, first impression (true first). 182pp. Colour and b/w line drawings by Eileen Soper. Two tone blue illustrated endpapers. In red cloth-covered boards with black lettering and motif on front panel (boards a tad faded and gently rounded at corners and spine ends). Internally neat and clean (front endpaper has small corner crease, hint of toning at page edges but generally bright). In its original dust jacket (rubbed and a little chapped in places at edges, small frays at spine tips, short, flat tear from spine head, small sticker on back). Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. The 17th Famous Five story.
