No. 476 in a deluxe edition limited to 540 copies. Complete in two volumes. xxxi, 200pp (vol.1), xiv + pgs201-514 (vol.2), 37 full page plates with captioned tissue guards and numerous further illustrations in text. Erratum slip laid in and all plates present as called for. Strong cream cloth boards with gilt armorial decoration on front and gilt lettering on black spine panels. Top edge gilded, else deckled edges. Boards clean and sound, barring small stain at top of spine on Volume I. Volume I also has a previous owner's name on the endpaper, and the tissue guard backing the frontispiece is starting. Strong, firmly bound, square and clean. Quarto. A lovely set.
