116pp. Quarter bound in cloth over card (boards are sharp, square and tight, just a little edge wear and slight sunning to spine). Deckled edges. Internally neat, clean bright and tight barring mild toning on endpapers. A delightful collection of notes and tips on collecting from a collector interested in playing cards, old silver, crime, Fountains Abbey and books, but important for the extensive bibliography of English Cookery Books, which starts with A Noble Book of Feasts Royal (of which it seems no copy survives) and includes known English cookery books up to 1814. Small folio. A pleasure to peruse.
