(The handwritten notes are in French). Quarter bound in leather over cloth (leather a little scuffed and rubbed at edges, crumbling at spine tips, catalogue marking at top). Internally, some spotting on endpapers and prelims; occasional small, neat annotations in text. The annotations have the appearance of being authorial corrections.
