24pp stapled booklet. Printed card covers (mildly soiled, with discreet call numbers). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A brief survey of history of the printed Bible, largely focussed on the Bible in English, from John Wycliffe onwards. Prepared by Ralph E Ford, one of the two brothers behind the translation of the Letchworth Bible, to accompany the touring exhibition of his own collection of Bibles and related material. Ford's collection of rare and uniquely valuable early English Bibles was truly outstanding and went on display all over England including the Chapter House of Westminster Abbey during the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Includes notes on exhibition items. Slim 8vo. Now very hard to find.
