30pp stitched booklet, containing the Sermon preached by Thomas Cartwright, Dean of Ripon upon the occasion of the anniversary of the inauguration of 'Our Dread Soveraign Lord', King James II, in the Collegiate Church of Ripon, February 6th 1686. Printed by J Leake, re-printed (presumably after the event) in Edinburgh. Paper aged, with covers lightly soiled, worn at page edges. Some very faint, occasional spotting. Old, mild damp stain affecting leading edge of a few pages, not affecting text. Appears to have been bound into covers at some point, but now not present. Approximately 7.5 x 6 inches.
