84pp plus dozens of black and white and sepia tipped in photographs. Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt text and design on spine and front; bevelled edges. 4to. Spine bumped at ends corners slightly turned in. Colour part faded on front, verso slightly stained. Gilded text block edge. Brown end papers with front free end paper partially detached. Previous owner's inscription (gifting the book to a Member of Parliament) on verso of front free end paper. Slightest spotting; more so on prelim pages. Binding tight. Artists discussed: Michelangelo, Giorgione, Perugino, Paul Veronese, Raphael, Poussin, Julio Romano, Albert Durer, Leonardo da Vinci, Holbein.
