Undated leaflet, c. 1870 8pp leaflet. Cover page has engraved vignette. Pages a little toned, especially the front cover, with some minor spotting and one corner creased. Provides an account and description of Fort Montague, otherwise known as the house in the rock, and a charge delivered to Sir Thomas Hill appointing him as Governor of Fort Montague in 1791. There is some suggestion that this pamphlet was authored by Babara Hofland, but that is uncertain. See Butts, Mistress of our Tears, p.99. Slim 16mo. ESTC notes three variants of this pamphlet but does not note this one.
