12pp exhibition catalogue produced by The Arts Council to accompany its exhibition of war time works, held between April 26 and May 18 1947. Printed card covers, stapled. Eight plate illustrations and catalogue notes, with very brief artist details. (Card covers a little worn, with some pencil annotations, oxidized around staples; internally a little fingering evident and some small, unobtrusive pencil markings). The Arts Council held an exhibition of War Artists' works in autumn 1946. This exhibition showed the works of artists done during the war but whose inclinations and abilities lay other than with recording the second world war. Works include those by Duncan Grant, Laurence Gowing, Paul Nash, Augustus John etc. Where the works were for sale, the asking prices are given. Slim 8vo.
