A new edition from the original plates and re-print of the letter-press. Unpaginated. Green full leather bound with five raised bands on spine, gilt titles on spine; blind embossed and gilt designs on spine and both boards. All edges gilt. Elephant folio. Heavy wear to extremities of boards, edges worn through in places. Spine ends missing. First 7cm of heel of spine cover detached from front board. Corners rubbed. Gilt text block edges. Stunning bright red silk end papers with highly decorated gilt motifs and inner gilded rules. Title page printed in red and black. Evidence of previous label on front free end paper. Spine broken after front end papers, rear strained. A truly magnificent volume with no foxing or marks. LHD records 8 copies.
