First edition, fourth printing (in the same year as first publication). 126pp with 32 photogravure illustrations. Red cloth-covered boards, decorated with blind rulings and black titles (boards a little faded, rubbed at spine tips and slightly bowed). Internally neat, clean, fresh and tight barring some mild toning on endpapers. In its original, worn and chapped dust jacket, chipped, with minor loss at spine ends and a few marks. The story of Princess Elizabeth (now Queen Elizabeth II) early years, drawing parallels between her start in life and that of her famous namesake, Princess Elizabeth of York (later Queen Elizabeth I).
