First English edition. 128pp, illustrated in colour and black and white. Nicely illustrated endpapers. Blue paper-covered boards, illustrated (a little rubbed at edges, slightly faded). Internally a hint of toning and a couple of tiny scars on endpapers. In its original worn dust jacket, chipped at edges and tape repairs at spine ends. A history of the development of porcelain manufacture in Europe, including the rivalries between the different china works which often led to law suits and bribery.
