xlvi, 1794pp plus 52pp of advertisements, and large fold out map of the city of Dublin at rear. Red cloth-covered boards with gilt motif on front(worn, faded, rubbed at edges and rounded at corners, cloth cracked and rounding along almost entire length of rear spine joint, mottled markings, spine sunned and rubbed). Internally gutters cracked to webbing in places, genealogical table hand drawn on front endpapers, fold out at rear has strained glue, resulting in chapped to edge of rear endpaper, fold out has short tear along one crease). Binding generally fragile but holding. A perfectable acceptable reference copy although it is no longer pretty. A comprehensive directory and almanac with sections on Foreign and Colonial; Imperial Parliament and the British Civil Service; Peerage Baronage, Knightage etc; Navy and Army Lists; Statistics; Stations; Medical, Law, Ecclesiastical, Banking and Postal; County and Borough Directories; Dublin City and County Directory, and Alphabetic List of Trades etc. A wonderful snapshot insight to Ireland and Dublin as they were in 1876. A very large volume, heavy, which will likely require an additional charge for overseas delivery. Thick 8vo.
