334pp. Monochrome illustrations, maps etc. Blue cloth-covered boards (a little rubbed at edges). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight, barring a few mild marks on endpapers. In its original dust jacket (bumped at edge, a couple of short closed tears around upper leading corner). Around 160km north of Perth, on the Great Eastern Highway, the district of Cunderdin-Meckering is renowned for wheat and sheep. Stokes traces the history of the area, and the people who first settled there, and the Balardong tribe who inhabited the area before westerners arrived.
