First edition, first printing. Copiously illustrated in black and white. Laminated, illustrated card covers. Covers very slightly rubbed on corners. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. This is a history, written with affection, of the lost village of Tyneham. With a history stretching back to the Bronze Age, in 1943 in the midst of the second world war, the inhabitants of the village were ousted to make way for a training ground for American soldiers prior to the Battle of Normandy. The villagers never returned.
