First English edition (previously published in the original Italian). 318pp. Laminated card covers (which show slight shelf wear, and call label on spine). Bookmart stamp inside front cover, and small J stamp on title page, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. The classical scholars who wrote about political parties tended to see them primarily as organisations, arguing that in order to understand and explain their activities and transformations, it was necessary to analyse their organisational core. This perspective was abandoned by later scholars, but in this innovative book, Panebianco takes the theme up again. Hard to find title.
