[1875] 128pp. Engraved frontispiece and three further full page engraved illustrations. Green cloth-covered, decorated boards (worn, rubbed at edges, rounded at corners and spine ends, sunned spine). Slightly cocked. Previous owner's inscription on front paste down endpaper, dated 1876. A few signs of fingering on pages but basically clean and tight. Small volume, 12mo. Published anonymously but can be attributed to Thomas Frost who wrote a number of children's stories in the 1870s.
