Not dated but c 1900. 412pp plus extensive publisher's catalogue at rear. In decorated and illustrated green cloth boards, (boards a little rubbed at edges, mottled around spine, with small nick in cloth at head of spine, decorations bright). Monochrome plate frontispiece and three further similar illustrations. Prize plate on front paste down indicating the book was awarded to William Smart by Fowey Council Schools in 1921. A little spotting on endpapers only, mild browning, three pages have a small corner curl. Hinges strained but holding. Large 12mo.
