The first 12 issues of Davenport's Demon Telegraph, the famous source of magic tricks and illustions, issued monthly between August 1933 and August 1934. Includes the very hard to find first number, issued in August 1933. Bound in black cloth boards with gilt lettering front and spine (worn, rubbed at edges, cloth a little warped in places and mildly bowed). Internally mostly clean, bright and tidy but some pages have at some time in the past been exposed to water and were stuck together; although now mostly separately and perfectly readable, there remain signs of the damage, including some small scars and scrap marks etc; one leave has a portion missing). Includes descriptions of magic tricks, magic-related news, reviews and announcements of magic books, cartoons, and lots and lots of advertisements for Davenport's magic tools and equipment We would not usually list a book in this condition but the first issue, which is largely undamaged, is sufficiently hard to find that someone may be interested in acquiring this volume for that issue alone. Please feel free to make an offer.
