First edition, first printing (true first). 276pp. In blue cloth-covered boards with silver titles on spine (just a little rounded at spine ends). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket (minor short closed tear at base of spine). The dust jacket is now protected in an archival quality mylar wrapper, fitted without use of adhesives or tape. Colin Forbes was one of the pen names of British writer, Raymond Sawkins. Sawkins also wrote under the names Harold English and Jay Bernard. Author of over 40 books, Avalanche Express was the only one to be made into a film, released in the late 1970s to generally poor reviews.
