In brown cloth-covered boards with gilt block lettering to spine (boards are strong, fresh and sharp, just slightly bruised at spine ends, hint of flecking on leading text block edge). Internally neat, clean, and tight; perhaps a hint of creaminess. In its original dust jacket (upper edge very slightly bumped). The dust jacket is now protected in an archival-quality mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Leonard Cyril Deighton is a British author whose works include cookery books, history and military history, but he is best known for his spy novels, including the series featuring the unnamed Harry Palmer.
