First edition, 2nd printing. 452pp, with two sections of plate illustrations. In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine (boards are strong, clean, sharp and square). Deep blue endpapers. Signed by the author on the title page with the inscription 'To Barry , best wishes, Ann Widdecombe'. Internally neat, clean and tight with just a hint of creaminess. In its original dust jacket (very slightly bumped on edges).
