Maxwell's Life of Wellington, abridged, re-edited and additional notes by Maxwell. Not dated but circa 1890. 380pp, tissue-guarded portrait frontispiece. In strong red cloth-covered boards with black titles and decorations front and spine (boards are strong, clean and square, perhaps a tad faded and very gently rubbed at spine ends and corners). Small chip at top of front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean and bright. Firmly bound. A biography of the great General and leading statesmen of the 19th Century.
