First edition. Undated. 304pp, four black and white plates (including frontispiece). Green cloth-covered boards, black titles on front and spine. Spine and cover edges sun faded. Bumped spine ends. Lightly tanned endpapers. Gift inscription on front free endpaper (Date 1947). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket has shelf wear, minor loss at spine ends and corners. Light chipping to edges, small closed tears along bottom (except rear which has mirrors book damage, price unclipped. Produced to war economy standard. 8vo. Lindsay's appointment as a prefect at River Place school astonishes the sixth form, because Lindsay is apparently as casual as she is popular.
