2nd edition, revised, extended and brought up to date. viii, 420pp. In cloth covered boards, extensively decorated with blind stamping and gilt motif and lettering front and spine. (The boards are worn, rubbed and rounded at corners; rubbed and cracked with minor loss at spine tips, marked). Both hinges cracked, with webbing showing, resulting in loosened binding. Some soiling and signs of fingering on pages, front free endpaper has been clipped over lower corner and has a little scarring on lower edge). Contemporary adverts on coloured endpapers. Sets out the processes and techniques used in many areas of arts, trades and manufacturing.
