2nd, augmented edition. 198pp. In soft card covers with black titles (covers are worn and faded, rubbed on edges, scuffed and rounded at corners, cracked along spine, with a small portion at the base of the backstrip missing, some creasing). Generally softened. The red from the card covers has leached onto the first and last couple of pages. Pages well-thumbed with a hint of toning at edges. A good reading and research copy, albeit no longer pretty. Three small newspaper clippings loosely laid in, dating from the time of the first world war and commenting on the role of the Salvation Army at that time. A critical examination of the development and work of the Salvation Army.
