102pp, illustrated with line drawings. In brown cloth boards, with embossed decorations and blind rules, gilt titles (boards are a little worn, gently rubbed at corners and spine ends, titles faded). Small bookseller's ticket on front paste down, indicating the volume was once in the stock of Gilbert and Field, Booksellers of Gracechurch Street, London, a couple of smudge marks, else internally neat, clean and bright. An early plea, aimed largely at children, against animal cruelty, told through stories. Uncommon. Slim 12mo.
