Not dated but likely circa 1985. 15pp stapled booklet, colour illustrated, in laminated card covers. 8vo. Covers just a little rubbed at edges in places. Internally neat, clean and bright. Firmly bound and square. High Beeches Gardens are situated one mile to the east of Handcross village, in the parish of Slaugham, in the Forest Ridges area of Surrey. This guide covers history of the gardens and their development, especially since the purchase of the estate by Sir Robert Loder in 1849. It also gives a brief account of Old High Beeches House, destroyed when a Canadian aeroplane carrying propaganda leaflets to Germany crashed into the house (the crew having already safely evacuated).
