This 1964 Dover edition is an unabridged and corrected republication of the second revised edition of Landscape Gardens in Japan and the Supplement to the Landscape Gardening in Japan, both originally published by Kelly and Walsh in 1893. Condor, an architect by training, first went to Japan in 1877 and published a number of books on Japanese art, several of which became the standard works on the topic in the West.
