Boards a little worn all over, gently rubbed on edges and spine joints, minor flecking on text block edges, internally neat, clean bright and tight. In its original dust jacket (jacket is worn, rubbed at edges with, one short corner tear, bumped along upper edge, heavily sunned spine). Captain Hornblower R.N.: 1st thus, 1965, 572pp. In deep blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine (boards gently worn all over, lightly rubbed at spine tips, minor dusting to text block edges, internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original worn dust jacket, frayed at the head of a heavily sunned spine, rear upper edge chapped). Admiral Hornblower: 1st thus, 1966, 758pp. In blue cloth boards, with gilt titles (boards are marked and soiled, rubbed and rounded at spine tips, gently rubbed at corners, some discolouration to text block edges, internally neat, clean, and bright, with a little give against the backstrip). Set presented in a robust, illustrated slipcase, worn all over, tired-looking and rubbed on edges in places, some soiling and chipping particularly on the back, small bump on upper edge, discoloured.
