Gift inscription, dated 1964, opposite title page else internally neat, clean and tight with fresh, vivid illustrations. In its original dust jacket rubbed at edges, shelf wear, lightly soiled on verso, spotted on reverse. Dust wrapper now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. 12mo. A lovely copy of this little classic Ladybird book from the Adventures from History series (series No. 561).
