In purple cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine (cloth lightly rounded and faded at extreme spine tips). Previous owner's label on front free endpaper, bookplate on half title page, previous owner's name on flyleaf, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original dust jacket (also by Joan Kiddell-Munro) (dust jacket very slightly rubbed on corners, two tiny marks on reverse).
