First edition, first printing. 126pp. Illustrated with line drawings. Ex library with light markings, lending sheet on rear endpaper. In purple cloth boards, with gilt titles on spine. Yellow endpapers. Boards a little rubbed around spine, internally a few mild signs of fingering but generally clean, neat and tight. In its original dust jacket (bumped at edges, lightly scuffed at spine tips, mild stain at spine head, creased on inner rear flap; remains remarkably bright). A better copy than its ex-library status suggests. 8vo. Sixteen traditional folktales from Somerset, some of which had never been written down before, taking the reader into an enchanted world of witches, fairies and giants.
