Internally some mild signs of fingering, else neat, clean and tight. 4to Some hundred and thirty years ago, plans were being made for a railway to connect the great city of Canterbury to the fashionable seaside resort of Folkestone. Along the length of the line was a string of pretty villages and hamlets in the Elham Valley. The first train ran along the line in 1889; and this book reflect on how the railway has affected the villages it runs through - Danton, Peene, Etchinghill, Elham, Newington, Derringstone etc.
