[8] 992pp plus 84pp of adverts at rear. In a presentation binding, quarter bound brown leather over light brown cloth boards with gilt accents and the initials R F B gilded onto top right corner (boards are worn, leather scuffed and cracked on spine joints). Marbled endpapers. Internally a little page toning, slight crack in gutter between front endpapers, else neat and clean. Whitaker's Almanack for 1934 was published in three editions - a shorter 704pp volume in orange paper covers; a 1000pp edition in red and green cloth binding, and a few 1000pp in presentation bindings of half-leather, like this one. Contains astronomical charts, information regarding government, finances, population, commerce and general statistics of various nations relevant to 1934. Fascinating section on holidays! Royal households, parliament and parliamentary seats etc.
