First edition, first printing. 80pp, with tissue-guarded portrait frontispiece and one further sepia-toned, tissue-guarded illustration. In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and decoration. Deep brown endpapers. 12mo. Boards moderately rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a few small marks. Front hinge cracked. Gift inscription, dated 1893, else internally neat, clean, bright. Memoirs of the Cheshire born, Conservative MP, William Cross, who represented Liverpool West Derby from 1888 until his premature death four years later.
