Reissue. 210pp with delightful line drawings by Helen E Hokinson. In grey-green boards with blue illustration on front and lettering on spine. Boards gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, mild strip tanning on endpapers. Small area of water staining at top of front endpapers. In its original, rubbed and faded dust jacket, with a little light chipping around spine folds and minor loss at base of spine. Emily Kimbrough wrote, with her friend, Cornelia Otis Skinner, the unrelentingly funny, Our Hearts were Young and Gay, telling of their adventures on trip to Europe before the second world war broke out. The book was made into and film and this is Emily's, equally funny, account of the pair being summoned to Hollywood to work on the script.
