First edition, first printing. 280pp, with 27 watercolour plate illustrations by the author and other illustrations, decorations, maps etc in text. In grey cloth-covered boards with silver lettering. Volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout, board corners very gently rounded. In its original, price-clipped, dust jacket (jacket very lightly bumped on edges). An account of Scott's last expedition edited from Edward Wilson's original manuscripts in the Scott Polar Research Institute and the British Museum. Wilson was the Chief Scientific Officer on the Terra Nova expedition.
